All lives have challenges and difficulties that can sometimes hold us back from achieving our full potential, we all need a helping hand sometimes. No matter what the issue, counselling can help. Working with a professional Counsellor in a safe, welcoming environment, can improve both our emotional and mental health, our ability to deal with stresses and the challenges in our lives.
Coming to counselling can be a scary prospect and that is why our award winning service creates a warm, relaxed and friendly environment, where you can feel at ease. We are committed to helping you find your happiness and over come any barriers preventing you from achieving this.
We help Clients to address issues that include depression, anxiety, addictions, current and/or historical abuse/trauma, interpersonal/family conflict, relationship issues, weight management, transition, bereavement and more.
We are here for you
Here at Davenport Counselling we are dedicated to helping you have the best experience you can within the counselling environment. We believe that the Initial Consultation should provide enough time and space for you to be able to decide whether the Counsellor and or counselling is right for you. One size definitely does not fit all! We aim to get to know you and get an overview of what is going on for you. This, we feel, cannot be done in 20 minutes, so we offer an Initial Consultation of up to 1.5 hours. Whilst this is a large chunk of your time, we are committed to ensuring you get the best possible start.
We believe that having a dedicated space to see clients, helps us to provide a professional, safe, warm environment in which to explore your story with you.
Parking is available in St Andrews Street public car park and also behind our offices, after 5.30pm week days and all day Saturday, which is free.
Usually we are able to offer you your Initial Consultation within just a few days of your initial enquiry. All enquiries are dealt with in a discreet and professional manner.
